Tie clips (also known as a tie slide or tie bar) are a popular item in men's clothing.
Usually made of metal, the tie slide or bar clips the tie to the fold of a shirt preventing it from swinging and ensuring that the tie hangs straight, resulting in a neat, uniform appearance.
A tie clip often has minor decorative patterns.
Some tie clips have a small badge indicating a club or other affiliation in the same way that ties often have, or some other commemorative token.
Tie clips or bars are the perfect accessory to give your outfit a personal touch and show your individual style.
They look elegant, prosperous, or even sportive depending on the style you choose.
A similar device is the tie pins (also known as stickpins or tie tacks).
It tacks the tie either directly to the shirt or to a chain which slips through the button hole of the shirt.
However, as this method permanently damages the tie, it is more uncommon than a tie clip.
